Beds SU Venue Hire Packages

Beds SU is keen for our societies to hold events in our venues and therefore we have been working with our commercial team to create venue packages, an easy and affordable way for you to hold events. 

What are the packages? 

There are 3 package levels (Bronze, Silver & Gold) which provided you different levels of venue hire to suit the different types of event societies do. Each package has a base level hourly price with the option to purchase add-ons to personalise your event to suit the needs of your society. All these prices are exclusive to Beds SU affiliated societies. 

How do you book the packages? 

Just like any other event, we would expect you to fill out a Trip/Event form, but with our new look form which has been designed with these packages in mind, this should be an easy, simple process. 

Once you have submitted your form, your event will be confirmed by our commercial team a provide you with a quote for the event. The SU team is then here to provide you with ongoing support in the set up of your event. PLUS there's no expense form to fill in at the end we do that all for you!

Other things to note:

  • These preferential rates are offered on the assumption that your event will be held in the best interest of your society members. 
  • Drinks vouchers are limited to either 2 per person or 1 voucher and a welcome drink per person. 

  


Bronze Package

Ideal for Society Socials/ Meet and Greet events etc. 

Cost: Free

Includes Available Add-ons (charged separately) 
  • Specific are reserved in SU venue during normal venue opening hours
  • Up to 40 guest
  • Bar and cafe* open for purchases
  • Drink vouchers (from £1.50 per person)
  • Welcome drinks- i.e. juice jugs, prosecco, wine, jugs of coaktails (please ask the venue for a quote)
  • Sandwich buffet (from £6 per person)*
  • Pizza, sharing platters, snack bowls, etc. (please ask the venue for a quote)

Good to know:

  • No external drinks are allowed to be brought into the venue 
  • You can provide your own light packaged/shop-bought snacks if you wish- for any other food products a relevant food hygiene certificate and public liability insurance is required.

Silver Package

Ideal for bigger evening events like showcases, open mic nights and other performances. 

Cost: £20 per hour

Includes Available add-ons (charged separately)
  • The use of the whole venue between 6pm & 10pm 
  • Use of the sound system and 2 microphones if required 
  • Up to 80 guests
  • Extra seating available upon request (min. 2 weeks prior to the event)
  • Bar and cafe* open for purchases
  • Use of available decorations in the venue
  • Drink vouchers (from £1.50 per person) 
  • Welcome drinks- i.e. prosecco, wine, jugs of cocktails, juice (please ask the venue for a quote)
  • Sandwich buffet (from £6 per person) 
  • Pizza, sharing platters, snack bowls etc. (please ask the venue for a quote) 
  • DJ (from £120)
  • Security (£15/hr per door supervisor) 
Good to know: 
  • No external drinks allowed to be brought into the venue 
  • You can provide your own light package/shop-bought snacks if you wish. for any other food products, the relevant food hygiene certificate and public liability insurance will be required  
  • You can provide your own catering if a hot buffet is preferred (food hygiene certificate and public liability insurance from cater required) 
  • Any specific technical requirements should be agreed with venue management (min. 2 weeks before the event) 
  • Event time could be extended up to midnight but a minimum of 1 door supervisor would have to be paid for for the duration of the event. 
  • You are restricted to one guest per member is non-members are in attendance

 Gold Package

Ideal for Club Nights, Society Balls, Awards shows, etc. 

Cost: £50 per hour

Includes Available add-ons (charged separately)
  • Use of the whole venue between 6pm and 3am
  • use of the sound system, DJ equipment, and 2 microphones
  • up to 200 guests (club set up) or 100 seated guests
  • extra tables/chairs available upon request (min. 2 weeks before the event)
  • Bar open for purchases
  • 2x door supervisors**
  • Drinks vouchers (from £1.50 per person)
  • Welcome drinks- i.e. Prosecco, Wine, Jugs of cocktails/juice, etc. (please ask the venue for a quote)
  • Sandwich Buffet (from £6 per person)*
  • Pizza, sharing platters, snack bowls, etc. (please ask the venue for a quote) 
  • DJ (from £120)
